Xinyu Iron
& Steel Co., Ltd (Xinyu Steel for short) is located
in Xinyu City, Jiangxi Province, China. Both China
state owned railway from Zhejiang Province to
Jiangxi Province and the highway from Shanghai to Ruili
( Yunnan Province) are running by its north side, by
its eastside, there is a highway from Jiangxi Province
to Guangdong Province ( Canton ) and
Yuanhe River, a branch of Gangjiang River, is running
through the City. The company occupied area is 28,508
mu. Xinyu Steel is a state owned large iron and steel
complex,
there are 25 main units, 14 sole owned
son-affiliations, and 5 economic ent-ities.There
are also other 15 Xinyu Steel holding or participating
companies, such as Xinhua Metal Products
Co., Ltd ( listed in Shanghai Stock Market ),
Jiangxi Sifang Logisitic Co., Ltd , Kunming Dianxin
Ferromanganese Co., Ltd etc. By the end of June,2006,the
amount of staff is 29,532, every kind of the technicians,
4,134 and there are 327 with senior title and 1421 with
interme-diate title among them. The gross asset value
of Xinyu Steel is RMB 12.224 billion.
Xinyu Steel can produce medium/heave plates,
wire, rebar, electric (silicon) sheet, plain
bar, tube, strip etc. with different
kind of specific-ations. The products made by Xinyu
Steel are popular in domestic market and have being
exported to more than ten countries and regions, including
the USA, Korea, Japan, Europe, Southeast Asia etc. in

production of Xinyu Steel was,iron,3.6156
million tons, steel, 4.0162 million tons, and steel
products, 3.787 million tons. Its sales income is RMB
13.734 billion, profit and tax, RMB 1.08 billion, industry
added value, RMB 2.577
billion.Xinyu Steel was listed as 226th
in the place of
sales income of 500 Largest Enterprise
in China £¬113th in China 500 Largest Manufacture
Industry Enterprises,172nd in China 200 Best Ratepaying
Enterprises, and 63rd in production output of steel
in the world.Estimated steel production in 2006 will
reach 5 million tons. |

Xinyu Steel¡¯s
main equipment and main production processes has finished
its leaping type update after more than
40 years construction and

Its main equipments are: 4.3 m coking ovens (with batteries
of total 192 ovens), 7 sintering machines ( among
them, one is 115 m2, one is
180 m2),7 iron-making
blast furnaces (among them,three
have the volume
of 1050m
3 each),for steel-making,there are three 100t converters,two
40t EBT electric arc furnaces £¬ for steel
products production £¬ there are rolling mills
( one 3,800mm heavy
plate rolling mill, one 2,300/2,500mm medium plate rolling
mill, one 105m/s high speed wire rolling mill,one half
continuous bar rolling mill). |

made by Xinyu Steel had
been approved by ISO9000 Quality System. Its
brand marks,¡°Yuanhe¡± and ¡°Shangeng¡±, were awarded as
¡°Jiangxi Province Famous
Brand Mark".Its hull plate
had gotten ABS Works Approval
of the Classification Societies
of eight countries and was awarded as ¡°China Famous
Brand¡± product. The following
eight products were awarded as ¡°China
National Quality Metallurgical Product Gold Cup¡±, they
are regular carbon steel plate, low alloyed plate, hull
plate, Cr12 steel forgings, high precision sized tube,
pre-stressed stranded wire
and high qualified
wire. Its hot rolled rebar was awarded as ¡°China
National Test-exemption Product¡±, wire, ¡°Jiangxi Province
Key Protected Product¡±.Xinyu Steel has perfect
and advanced test facilities, the Metering and Measuring
System of Xinyu Steel had passed the China national
approval, and its Test Center had got the
approval from the China National Laboratory.
